Masses Being Suspended

Many have observed that even in World Wars I and II, Mass was celebrated every day in Churches throughout the world. Yet here we are suspending Masses (until further notice). It reflects just how contagious this virus is and how we all want to do the best we can to limit the damage it can do. Many of our dear parishioners would be vulnerable; one Church in Korea has already been a source of spreading this virus. We do not want to do the same.

While Masses will be suspended we can still be in communion with God and each other through prayer. Sunday remains a Holy Day – a time to rest, enjoy family and friends and enjoy God’s presence too. We are planning to stream Mass this Sunday from St John’s at 10.00 am so we can be united in hearing the Word of God, praying together and seeing the Eucharist. So please join us on screen on Sunday at 10.00 am by clicking on or check our website. I hope the technology works.

But please don’t turn up at the Church since we would not be allowed to let you enter!

We will try to keep in touch via email. We won’t be offended if you want your name removed. Just email back.

With prayers,
Fr Michael and Fr Srinu
